We had the same problem, brought back 1 quote for NU for £2600, when we contacted them directly to ask if this was true, they apologises and said it would be closer to the figure of £2300. I wouldnt risk online buying online, call around and check with Adrian flux, they were the cheapest we found

    yup, confused.com sucks.

another thing to watch out for with insurance is renewal prices. i was given a renewal price of 370 quid tpft for my legacy turbo (insurance group 18) which seemed pretty good - that's with one year ncb. i figured i'd just check out a new quote to compare and it came out at 260. so i phoned em up and used that quote instead.

elephant seem to very good for me...

Hate to say it but 1400 sounds about right, You said you have 1 year NCB which most companys wont accept, why??

I'm 18 ( was 17 when my policy started ) driving a 52 plate 1.2 corsa - that's costing me about 1250 a year fully comp with norwich union. I got some quotes in excess of 3500... lol

Cheapest for young drivers are generally considered to be elepant and norwich union. I always found confused.com came back with silly silly quotes for me. Otherwise try www.insuresupermarket.co.uk always comes back with nicer quotes

I just tried confused out of interest compared to the comparison site I suggested earlier and confused came back with a quote over £400 more as the cheapest, so in my case confused is pretty useless

Confused.com did me well for 3 years. There is always someone somewhere that will get cheaper. At the end of the day, its up to you, your car, your postcode, and some black voodoo magic. Confused.com undercut adrian flux by a big margin for me. Fluxy, they try it on, you only go back when youve modded your car SOOO MUCH that no one else will insure you.............
