A lot of people seam to say that whilst you should declare them to your insurance company, they don't bump the price up for 3.

I've been flashed by one before aswell. Got nothing through the post. If you do then you are unlucky since 10% of tehm have any film in them!Originally Posted by CocoPops

As for the bike question - no they can't be caught as Truvelos take pictures from the front, Gatsos can obviously still get you though - and it can be hard to tell if a camera is a gatso or a truvelo until you get close.... so i wouldn't recomend trying it!
I wouldn't suggest trying it either tbh, but theres also the suggestion that Gatso's don't work properly on Bikes either. They both were afterall designed with Cars in mind.

Not trying to rub it in - but i think speeding in a Pathfinder is a bit worse than in a 220... I mean the bulk of the former and the superior brakes of the latter... I suppose its more fair to be flashed in the nissan
Tough on mirrors, tough on the causes of mirrors.
How did it flash? was it 2xwhite flash... ala gatso but forwards?
Truvelos can also carry rear facing gatso-type cameras.. if it was one of these you may not hear anything.. ive triggered a gatso head on before and not heard anything IIRC they cant do you for it...
TruVelo does flash you in the face. Did me on the A34 at night. Bright flash. Not funny.
84 on a dual carriageway. 3* and £60.

I love the way that on the internet, people will tell eyewitnesses their eyes were wrong! The cameras are on the left of the road so can only do 1 side and face the cars and flash reddish.Originally Posted by 5lab

they are, 100%, flashing in your face. Where Sair and I loved last year there was one on a 30mph bridge and I know two people done by it.
I was done in a Zafira DTi Howard, you cheeky chappy but yes...the Chavalier DID once do 84mph.
Well....the brochure said it did
