Hmmm Never been to keen on Alfa's, mainly because of all the issues them and fiat have had in the past.
Is the 2.5 in the A6 any good? I wouldn't mind moving up a class of motor.

Mines got 180, old owner had a Remap done to it when it was 3 months old, goes like a bottle rocket.
Anyone got any opinons on a Nissan 350Z? I know there not a diesel but if I could get one inside my budget then I would be over the moon.

Octavia Vrs?? Fully loaded with equipment, basically a Golf, 180Bhp and can be remapped by Seat up to 225Bhp.
Lexus IS200/300? 300 is a rocket, bullet proof, really will never go wrong.
Old Merceds Benz C36? Can pick one of these up relatively cheap now, massive performance (will eat an M3 alive). Get a good one and it'll last forever. Proper race engine too.
I really would like a Diesel thats the thing, I'll bear the Octavia in mind though.
Lexus = Nice looking but petrol
Merc C36 = I wish.
Alfa 166 = *Shudder*

Sorry for the double post but I thought this was worth posting as a new one.
Went to test drive a couple of cars today:
1. Ford Mondeo ST-TDCi 2.2
Good points:
- Good looking (IMO)
- Nice Interior
- Great Engine
- Well Priced
Bad Points:
- Gearbox
- Not really an M-Way Car
That 2.2 was nothing short of magnificent on the way to could move, trouble was the gearbox they connected it too would be more suited to stirring Porridge. I tried to floor it out of a junction with a van coming at me, the Audi would have straightened up and left him before he had chance to read the badge. With the Mondeo, the gearchange was that awkward he ended up ontop of me.
I also tested an Alfa 156 2.4 JTD, Nice looking, but the interior rattled like hell.
