insurance question - EU licences...?

On my insurance pollicy it says I can drive cars with owners permission with 3rd party cover, but states I need an EU licence.

Does that mean a licence from any country within the EU, for example a US licence would not be covered.... OR does it mean I would need to take another driving test...

Seems very stupid to me if UK licences are not covered for driving 3rd party.... however I am only 20 and according to my dad, insurers dont usually give you cover on other cars untlll your 25...

Well the Uk is in the Eu so i would guess the Uk is covered? I don think there is a standard EU test is there? Well actually i have no idea lol

with insurance, its always best to ring them and check if you are unsure....that way when they give you an answer, it makes it more difficult for them to screw you over

pretty certain the UK Licence is classed as a EU licence.

yeah but it all depends on if theres a seperate licence specifically called an EU licence..
