you mean autotraders bikes section? you may need to increase the range to national to find the best deals. either that or MCN i think has a bikes section?

If you are looking at a particular make of bike then look on their website - honda for example have all the used bikes at various dealerships listed on their website.

    biketrader.co.uk i believe it is

dave, i ride a 1987 honda superdream, its old, it'll JUST do 90 if i really push it, but its reliable and pointblankly refuses to break down (except when i dont reattach the battery properly)

i got it cos it was cheap as chips to run and insure, and i can do all the maintanence

planning on a CB500 for similar reasons in august, probs get one+insurance for about a grand, cant argue with that really

Cheers for all the help guys. My mate has said he'll learn with me.

Can you just clear one thing up for me, is this how it works...

Do CBT - This then allows me to ride on the road (unsupervised but with L plates??) this is when i have lessons?

The CBT gives me a certificate that will allow me to do the test which then gives me a full licence.

    Cheers again.

Nearly, The CBT allows you to ride unsupervised on the road on a bike with a capacity of less than 125cc, with L plates.

The CBT gives you the ability to go on and do the test, but you have to do the theory between the cbt and the date of your test to ride the bigger bikes, if you're under 21 then it will be a restricted licence (power <25kw) for 2 years, then you get your full licence

heh, yea I think one of my uncles had one of those at one point, when he was learning. I agree on the maintainence part, though with my Honda its pretty simple to do most tasks, I even managed to replace the brake pads (I'm a mechanical novice - uncle supervising )

The CB-500 isnt bad, though I would have thought go for a cbr-600f or a hornet, they're dropping in price and are very good bikes, though I'm not sure about you being able to buy & insure one for less than a grand

    Dave
