I seem to remeber they are an import - which can have a bit of an effect on insurance and parts.

My colleague had one for a while. It kept breaking, apparently - surprising for a Nissan (although not so surprising for a 15 year old car...).
As Moby says, they're all imports.
all imports. the main importer/specialist is about 3 doors down the street from where my ex-gf lives. so i've seen bloody hundreds of em. £5k for a 15 year old micra is a lot of money.. but they are very unique - i'd personally take an mx5 instead. what about a toyota will?

I love Figaro...if you canmanage with the whole imported car thing....do it.
They are THE coolest thing to be seen in. Period!

figaro pwns 1 litre turbo i think right butuz stop making me jealous bout your insurance
not sure if the figaro's got a turbo or not, but either way, its a poser car, not a performance car. they're nice enough, but i'd rather spend my money on either a real classic or something more modern.. if you like it, get it.. its a car to buy with yer heart

It's a 1.0l turbo alright, but I think that's for Japanese tax reasons rather than to make it fast. I seem to recall that they're all automatic. I'd say don't get a grey one, what a waste of a lovely shape.

8 grand for a car that old? EEK!
they are lovely looking little things. i think there was a feature on them on one of the car programs a couple of years back.
That's what rarity value and cult styling will do for you. As a young and foolish camera enthusiast I paid £150 for one of these at a police auction; they were £500+ from dealers at the time. It turned out to be broken, but when I opened it up it looked almost exactly like every other £50 olympus compact camera from the late 80s. Internally it's probably a MJU-1 judging by the specs. One day I'll buy one at a boot sale as a donor and fix mine; I guess all those old Micras out there will end up keeping Figaros going.Originally Posted by Lowe
