Convertable Turbo Diesel

Fellow Hexusites,
I'm looking at a job which is 60 miles away from where I live. It will be pretty much straight down the M3 (opposing the flow of traffic), so I want something with a bit of poke which will cruise well on motorways. I'd also like a convertable.

The only thing I can find is a BMW 320/330tdi. Is BMW really the only company which does a convertable turbo diesel?

Renault Megane Coupe Cabriolet or Peugeot 307 CC both offer Turbo Diesel engines.

Their hard tops will make motorway cruising more pleasant.

so basically, a few options for ya dont get the bimmer - its the old shape at the moment and will be imminently replaced.

New Focus convertable will be out soon, I think that it will have either the 1.8 or 2.0 TdCI engine as an option. Being a Focus it will most likely drive wonderfully.

same chassis as the c70, which will *probably* be nicer inside. depends how much ya have to spend really..

The other worth looking at is the A4 TDI but to be honest unless you have an aversion to the BMW brand it's arguably not possible to do better than a BMW 330Cd Cabrio. Stunning engine, best chassis in the class by far, and the drivers car of the class.

Couple this to good looks, excellent residuals and a solid interior and it really is a winning package.
