...I'm finally on the road

I took my test this morning (failed my 1st for driving over a mini roundabout) and got the Chief Examining officer for the entire South East. So best to say I was a little nervous Well, 45 mins later I get the 'I'm glad to say...' and I cannot put in words how relieved I was. Only 4 minors as well, (incidentally the same number I got on my motorbike test) so I'm pretty pleased.

If the Chief Examiner says I can drive, I guess I can Now off to do pass plus & get my parents to insure me on their car

I passed 1 month and 6 days ago! Have to say it's suprissing how much you pick up once you get out on the road without your instructor there. I'm a carefull driver and got through the learning stage quickly (I've had various bits of related experience over the years) and i'm learning a LOT now i'm out there on my own

Well done! The thing I remember about driving on my own for the first time was how lonely it felt with no-one sat in the passenger looking over your shoulder. The other thing was you can now go where you like! No more "at the roundabout, take the second exit"...

Cheers guys, unfortunately due to the weather, I don't think I'll be going in the car. No, the weather is far, far too good, time for me motorbike I think

In all seriousness, as I'm off to uni in 16 days time I'm not getting a car of my own. However, depending how much it costs, I will be driving one of my parents cars This will probably be around christmas time, due to the fact that I will be 19 by then

Instead, I am going for my pass plus, which should be a bit of fun, especially driving a 1.6 Focus (06reg) instead of the usual Corsas etc, round country lanes etc
