    Porsche Cayman S - sounds

I can't quite match the Ferrari 355 noise posted elsewhere in this section but here are some sounds from inside the cabin of my Porsche Cayman S. It's not being thrashed in these recordings but I do hope to get some done when it's being taken to the red line.

The recording equipment was an iRiver H140 and a Sony ECM-917 electret condenser microphone. The microphone was located near my headrest so it's pretty much exactly what I hear.

Nah, it sounds great. Maybe I'm a philestine but flat-plane V8s don't really do it for me sound wise, I like my engines to sound gruff.

The engine in the Cayman S is a flat-6 Boxer engine. That's pretty common for most of the Porsche range and the sound is quite distinct from V8's. It sounds a lot better and louder when it's thrashed!

I know- I was referring to one of the other recordings recently posted, as I thought it would be a bit rude to post a disparaging comment in that thread (not that that usually stops me ).
