However, I disagree with a previous statement... it wont be the end of top gear but it will be the end of top gear as we know it. I think all these silly stunts might be knocked on the head now...

Really had to do a double-take at that news story.
He's a great presenter, I really hop he gets through this as best as possible.

I also hope this isn't the end for Top Gear.

I was well upset when I heard this news

, top gear is my favourite show ever... without hammond the show wouldn't be the same, just for the record I feel that all of the presenters are as good as each other in their own way.

I hope he makes it - his wife and children must be going through hell at the moment. Hampsters are pretty tough though so I hope he pulls through and enjoys a life of many more caravan demolitions.

Seems one of his tyres blew out when he deployed the parachute at 280mph. According to the daily mirror. Who he writes a column for.
