    Channel 5 News are reporting he was going at about 280MPH, BBC is more vauge, but do say he was in a jet car.

    Yeah, hope he's alright, said he was regaining consciousness as they were getting to the hospital. I heard it was 200mph, but don't really know how accurate that is, just heard from a friend.

    Having just caught the news, It appears that he was flown (by air ambulance) to a specialist hospital, which wasn't the closest to the place where he crashed, suggesting he had head injuries (which would concurr with the fact that he was unconcious when he got to the hospital).

    I just hope he gets better, he and Clarkson were gold

    My thoughts go out to him, his wife and young family.
