    Corsair PSU's

    Hi.

This is what we want Corsair PSU's to have:

    PSU fan rpm monitoring.
PSU to be able to control case fans, not just run them at full speed.

This is what most enthusiasts want.

    Regards

Or run the fans direct from the mobo and use the mobo to control the fan speed automatically.

The fans in our PSUs are controlled internally by a thermal monitoring device that changes the fan speed according to the amount of heat in the PSU case. They do not run full speed all the time.

At this time, we see virtually no demand for fan speed monitoring. Since our units run so well and very quietly, most customers aren't concerned with the RPMs.

    Thanks for your input.

    Re: Corsair PSU's

Well I am concerned about fan rpm so if it fails my motherboard can shut the pc down before the PSU cooks my cpu etc...

Yeah the thermal cut-out would trip long before any damage was caused. Don't worry about fan speed monitoring.

Well I guess it's just me. I don't buy anything unless its rpm is viewable. That includes mobo, gpu etc.

Corsair PSU's are good but BeQuiet PSU's are better. They have everything. After all, it's 'German Engineering'.

I would disagree but, of course you are entitled to your opinion.

Slightly rude on a Corsair forums to state this, Corsair are here to help and answer queries.

In my experience Enthusiasts like most customers want reliabilty and quality and also the option of a good warranty which is returnable to the place of purchase.

you say you dont buy anything that is NOT RPM viewable yet you previously purchased a Corsair as stated here??

    http://forums.hexus.net/psus/123314-very-impressed.html

    slightly contradictive.

Sorry to bump this post. That's when I realised that it didn't have rpm monitoring. How come you've been searching my history?

Probably because you came into a Corsair thread promoting another brand and not backing up your statements with any facts. But since it was 2 months ago it seems a bit paranoid to be posting about it in what is essentially a dead thread.

    Dear Corsair,

It does not befit you, as a Corsair Moderator, to make personal remarks like "paranoid" thus humiliating abitlover. You should NOT be making personal remarks in a public forum.
