Antec 900. I like it, but I'll be removing the LED fans and put in something that doesn't make my room bright blue at night. One of the USB ports on the top is also dead, and has never worked but after a late delivery I couldn't be bothered to send it back for the sake of 1 USB port.

Re: How do you feel about your PC Case?

Educatedfool, send Antec an Email about it and they will most likely send you out a replacement USB unit for free

    http://www.antec.com/EUnewticket.html

Fill out that form as a spare parts request or maybe a request for information and see what they say

Eclipse 62. Best case I've ever owned, though I would like the Omega as the front on the eclipse is a bit shabby.

Re: How do you feel about your PC Case?

Just to add about the Antec 900. I thought the little section on-top of the case which is a 'storage' area was a rubbish idea.

Then I plugged my phone in to transfer some films, and then my MP3 player to charge, and my keys so I knew where they were, a set of spare batteries for my torch . . .

Re: How do you feel about your PC Case?

I have a Thermaltake Armor as my main PC and a Lian-Li PC-V1110 g/f PC, A SilverStone CW01 HTPC case, Akasa ITX, Thermaltake Aguila, a Sunbeam Transformer (modded for watercooling and showing off) and I have also used a microfly cube and a few coolermaster cases.

Upto now I would say the PC-V1110-B has been the best and I actually liked the Aguila as well.

I agree the storage tray in the Antec 900 is surprisingly useful

Re: How do you feel about your PC Case?

I've owned an oldschool Coolermaster ATCS-4000-SX1 for the past couple of years, very rare case and hasn't been made for a long time, that said I think its one of the best looking cases ever made and I love it to bits i've never seen another case i'd swap it for.

Saying that its a little small, and i'm in the process of sorting out somewhere to put a 360 rad, i'll probably end up building a similar looking aluminium radbox, don't fancy butchering a piece of CM history!

Currently using a Dell Dimension 9150. The gap for ventilation through the front is surprisingly handy when it comes to lifting and moving it around. One thing I don't liek though, which is having the PSU at the top :S.

Re: How do you feel about your PC Case?

Its just a box I stick under the desk and forget about. The only time I have any feelings about it is when new hardware goes in it, so size and ease of installation were the main points considered when purchasing. Oh and I needed the usb ports and on/off switch at the top where they can be easily reached.

    HAF932 job done.

Re: How do you feel about your PC Case?

I had a Coolermaster CM-690. It was recommended to me on my very first post on the Yo-Yo Tech forum. Hence my Hexus name.

I had a small case before it with my uATX mobo. Trouble was, with my new Corsair PSU and graphics card it got very hot and my Corsair PSU far from whisper quiet. So I bought the Coolmaster CM-690 from Scan.

It had room for loads of 120mm fans. I had 5 120mm fans in it and it was very good a keeping my components cool. And I think there was room for at least 2 more. I think cooling is the most important thing for me. It also look very nice for budget case. And as I sat down on my chair the case is about knee high. So the headphone sockets and usb connectors at the top of the case was something I really loved about it. The only bad thing I found with it was the HDD cages wouldn't allow you have a IDE HDD drive in as the frame covered the power sockets.

This weekend I needed to have my PC in a small case again. And again cooling is something important.
    I bought a Silverstone TJ08S Temjin case. 2x 120mm fan.
This has to be the most awkward case I have ever had to install components in.

The HDDs are really close to the Heatsink of your PSU. So that's uncomfortably close and the power leads and cables seem to get too close to your Heatsink. Your ram sticks are buried behind the HDD cage. Also, I have one DVD drive. I had to move it from the lower bay to the top bay because the wires from the PSU are a real tight fit.
But, once I did finally get everything in it all seems good. The 2x 120mm fans seem to be doing a good job. I can tell because my Corsair PSU is near silent.

Re: How do you feel about your PC Case?

I have a Coolermaster ATCS-201 and Lian-Li v1000. I'm really happy with the quality of both of them. I simply wouldn't replace it with anything avaliable today.
I used to have a rattling problem with the lian-li but a little blue tack fixed it.

I don't know if I'm old fashion or something but new coolermasters and lian-li just dont do it for me visually, the antecs and thermaltakes are straight out gross. i've looked into silverstone but they are rather expensive, my coolermaster cost half as much for something similar offered by silverstone.

most of the time i leave my cases under the desk and forget about them but when i do go to lans im not afraid im going to get laughed at.

Got an Antec P160 here, and by today's standards it's quite tight fitting everything in it...

I'll probably shell out on a large Lian-Li one when I get round to upgrading, since more space to play around would be nice.

I have to agree with you on the Themaltake. I used to have, I think it was an Xsavier. Not sure I spelt that right. Inside it was a nightmare. You had all these fans. I think 4 in total. All the 3 pin connectors for these fans had to go into the fan control drive at the top of the case. Then you had to power these fans with with the chunky power leads. On top of that you had a box at the bottom of the case. This turned on and off the light thing at the front of the case. The light thing was flames surrounding the Thermaltake logo. Different parts and colours flash individually - a mini light show.
The flames made me chuckle with my 478 Celeron processor and Geforce 4. And I even bought a Thermaltake PSU. It was modular and had a window on the side of the PSU that you could see through the window of my case. It would flash slowly different colours like a christmas tree.

Although I have to say they look like they have made nice SSF cases recently. I have not seen them in the flesh.
It's just those bloody orange platic fans. Bloody horrible.

Re: How do you feel about your PC Case?

This is a lovely case. Real premium work, no sharp edges per se (though the immaculately cut side panels have purposefully serrated edges for some reason), low-noise padding, interesting design, lovely to look at... but... i'm bored with it and want a change for my new pc. so the old one's gonna hit the for-sale forum.

Xaser? The only cases with actual go-faster stripes & flame decals?
