Sure, it can't hurt ;)
Surprised you're just useing a stock intel cooler.
I was wondering what that case was when I saw it in the workspace/desk thread.
PSU blew in my old gaming rig, so I replaced it with a new Tagan one & took the opportunity to transfer the machine into a new case (old one was a total bodge job of half-finished mods). New NB cooler as well (after the bearings of the stock Abit one started making horrible noises). Nothing particularily intersting, just a black Coolermaster Centurion RC534 'Plus' with my 5 year old hardware :)

That's about as neat as my cabling ever gets - there's no window so I couldn't care less what it looks like - as long as they don't impede airflow, I'm happy.

wheels on a smooth desk surface = distaster!
Looks good though.
What's the case? Are they wheels or just rounded feet?
looks like a lian-li to me.
They do look quite a bit like these so maybe wheels after all - not seen that before. Nice, but as said, scary on a desktop.
Thought i'd show my Coolermaster Wavemaster off one last time before it goes (i've sold it to pay for my Mountain Mods project !), i'll be sorry to see it go !

I do!
but please... why all that fantastic work on the case and standard blanking plates?
It's a Lian-Li, many of their cases come with wheels, there is a lock on the rear pair so it's not going anywhere.Quote:
What's the case? Are they wheels or just rounded feet?
Hehe, you have an eye for detail Jay ! I sprayed the outside edges black and took off the graphics card plate and sprayed that along with the fan guard etc but did'nt spray the inner edges and it bugs me too ! Its a learning experience !!! :)

I'm not big on 'hiding wires', I don't see the point. As long as it's neat enough not to block airflow & is easy to work on then I'm happy. Specs in sig.
Old Lian Li case that I purchased back in like 2000/2001. Ugly messy wiring (got hacked off at installing/uninstalling bits), too lazy to sort it out now it's all built together. Some random lights that strobe to music. The Cold Cathode tubes are like 5 years old too!

What CPU are you running? Temps look great :)
E6750 @default(2700MHz)
cool. I'm going to have to look into that sound deadening stuff then. I always thought it would turn it into a bit of a furnace.
Does it keep it really quiet?
Yap... With Acoustipack Deluxe iIt's much, much better than an empty case... it look it's greater too.
The PaxMate from AKASA it's not so great for the acoustic dumpening... it's only for the look...
wow, the TJ-05, silenced to the max, and yet surprising temps, seems to good to be true.
Whoa thats nice but what happens if your psu dies :D, I know from experience that particularly sound proofing is a dastard to remove.
All the cables of the PSU are free... No one isn't stuck with that material... When i will install the 8800GT/GTS i will make a pic with e backside of case, wher all the cables are...
nice setups
I thought the whole purpose of the Vauxhall Nova, nay, it's raison d'etre, was to have awesome body kits put on it?
And stickers in the rear window that say "Booyaka!" in two foot high script without a trace of irony?

*nods*
How did you do that? Or did it come like that?
You guys talking about mine or Jays...?
I'd love to say I did mine myself but it was done by some clever chap bit-tech.net lined up. I'd forgotten I entered the competition and it just turned up around chrimbo time :D
Yours.
I mean, your wiring is, frankly, a shambles, and I've seen vacuum cleaners with less dust inside them, and the fact that you have TWO different colours of Sata cables makes me actually angry, but the outside looks great. ;)
My system has been modified slightly since this post, Will post again later when its tidy.
All true I'm afraid... I do keep meaning to do something about it, especially the dust (damn my new camera, you can barely see the dust in the dark). And I'm actually stuggling to remember where the red sata cable goes... I've only got two HDDs and the DVD is IDE :p
Um... that's mde my eyes go funny. Do you have the world's largest PC case, or is it one case up against a mirror?
Clicky for the answer Shooty*
superb Azza, im folowing your log aswell. cant wait for the finihsed article
Thats a very cool mod Azza, I like that alot :)
Seem to remember seeing something done like that years ago with 2 x cooler master 201's on BitTech.
Azza.. is that 2 cases side by side?
or is it meant to be like that?
guessing that PCs rather cool aswell? :P

Still have to cut the side panels and roof, have changed the fan controllers, and done this to the front:
http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w...405/quake4.jpg
Thats one fine looking system you have there Vlper :)
Why thankyou sir...
There's still an awefull lot to do to it, and now that i have my 2nd rig up, i may very well get off my arse and finish it.
Cables need tidying BIG time, adding of cathodes is needed, cut the 2 side panels, rad grill on each panel, and a window on the main side. Cut 2 roof windows, one to show off the gfx cards, and one to do something a little fancy with (acid green perspex, with left over alu from side panel cut on top, fill ports in this, along with a 'v2k' logo showing the acid green perspex)
Also want to move the hdd to the bottom compartment, and change the mounting of the pumps and res's, might chuck this at Tom to see what he reccomends (the case is full of vibrations at the moment, 90% of which come from the pumps by the looks of things)
Oh yeah, also need to fabricate some king of blanking plate with 120mm fan hole on to the rear, i cut up my psu plate to fit the psu at the top and orientated the correct way...
how did you do the quake logo?
well heres my chief tec case which is soon to be replaced by a coolermaster 690(hopefully tomorrow).

The great thing about this case has to be the cable management, there is a pink bit of plastic at the bottom front of the case where you just shove all the cables behind :P.
Will update with pics of my cm 690 tomorrow hopefully.
Well many moons ago I sold all the parts of my only watercooled system but I never got round to getting rid of the case. The case just sat there looking at me so I decided in a drunken moment of clarity to rebuild it!! I was lucky enough to find the water cooler parts on this very forum, its all based on the Sunbeam Transformer case, pretty good for watercooling actually.
I will be modding the side window as the patern is crap and the clear plastic window has faded and gone a bit milky.
I left my camera in work so I had to take these with my IPhone :( . I'l get some proper shots tomorrow :)

Well I have started the mod on my Transformer case, I still have a lot to do, including wire managment, rubdown, prime and then spray the inside of the case black and spray the blacking plates.
upto now I have sprayed the front grill green, the transformer logo green and the top "blow hole" fan grill green. I have also cut the side window out (with a Dremel, 3 blades and 5 days it took!) and cut the acrylic, drilled the holes needed and fitted it.
