Does it actually cool better going from the Rad -> VGA -> CPU rather than Rad -> CPU -> VGA ? From a CPU temperature point of view that is.

Also would the 1/2" Tygon tubing be better than the tubing your using? Considering changing my XSPC tubing as its not very flexible. Also did you have to heat the tubing up to make the fitting or did it fit straight out the box, so to speak?

All in all, nice clean rig, just how i like em!

I use the same stuff, and although you dont have to, it is lots easier to fit if you heat it. Although it wouldnt fit the barbs on my mcp655 without heating.

1/2" tygon is good, but teh flow is about the same, and it looks a bit pants because you have to use barbs, where as with this you can run it barbless.

Generally CPU first, but most importantly always take the route which uses the least amount of tubing, so in this case VGA -> CPU.

I do believe that there's been many-a-thread about the order of watercooling components, so I won't start another debate about it here

I used 1/2" Tygon for mine and I have to say that it's pretty big (odd observation really) and takes up quite a bit of room in my case - I did think about trying to go for the 3/8" version on my next set-up (a X2 3800) to see if I could get away with the smaller tubing - although seeing your success with the Masterkleer, I'm tempted! Did you go for the 9/16" OD or the 5/8" OD ?

UnrealHippie, how much did this cost you to do? I'm thinking about sticking with air cooling as my component temps are good and i'm not OCd, but was gonna get an Antec P180 to make it quieter and cooler. With watercooling it might negate the point, depending on cost of course

Oh, and had anyone seen a mod of a radiator where it would take up the 2 back fans of the P180, ie the 2 fans of the rad at right angles to each other?

    ~£300.

In retrospect, i'd say buy a big case with 120mm fans, a thermlaltake big typhoon and a zalan vf-900 and you'll have a nice quiet low maintainance system.

Impressively tidy! A good rig is a tidy rig, and I'm going to have to steal the masking tape idea.

i still dont see the point of water cooling an amd 64 cpu.. they run stupidly low anyway and my air cooler can push my chip to the max without breaking the 45c barrier.

    i think i shall cool my lga775 pentium 805d

nice work though mate, love it all !!

Actually its a misconception you can 'push it to the max' - watercooling allows you to increase the volts and so increase the max overclock by a few mhz (50-200mhz usually)

Nice looking system there, lucky you with your G5.

Ive just gone for an MP-05 SP LE for my second water cooling setup, ill be interested to see how it goes coupled with a PA120.2 and a couple of yates on a fan controller.
