    My brother in law just bought one back from HK, fortunately he avoided any customs charge unfortunately his ps3 is now busted (no video output). Looking for some place to fix it for him now or somehow resetting the PS3 back to default settings.

    Seeing as you can currently get the PS3 for only £359 inc resistance fall of man (unconfirmed) from empire store using the 40% off voucher, is it really risking it for warranty/custom issues?

    BTW- anyone know how to reset the PS3 to default settings? following the manual leads us nowhere..
    * Canon 5D Mark ii * 24-105L * 2 x 580Ex ii * 85mm f1.8 * For sale = Canon EOS 400D * 100mm f2.8 macro * 10-22mm * 17-55mm IS f2.8 * 70-300mm IS * speedlite 420EX *

    I understand peoples arguements for PS3 and no PS2 inside regards to price. But the way I think is, wasn't the picture quality shoddy using the PS2 inside? and doesn't that mean no games get a performance increase?
    The way I look at it is that if it is done by software emulation then it is running on the actual PS3, therefore there's more power to work with and perhaps you can enable AA and AF on it to enhance the image?

    In theory but theres alot of work involved in emulation compared to a dedicated chip. Have a look at the problems wirth ps2 games emulation list.

    They surely won't stay like that forever though.

    Think of it this way. They will work on a few titles yes but at the end of the day like Microsoft, people will be playing the new games and won't care as much for the older games so they stop working on it.

    Pretty market savvy they are.

    Im glad I didnt buy one from HK now. Just picked the ps3 pack with a game for 360 pounds !

    Saved 100 pounds over the early adopters hehe

    Its a good idea but look at the software implications, it will limit the amount you are able to sell it for! So do the figures first but all in all you should work out in profit
