Had I not spent £220 on games/accesories I would give up and buy a PS3, but my current committment means trying again, just NOT with dabs, NEVER again, they really do leave a lot to be desired when it comes to CS, just wish SCAN sold 360s.
I bought mine from scan a year and a half ago. They still sell them too.

I dont care if MS are willing to replace them or not. They shouldnt break down like they do.

After reading these forums I'm not going to spend my money on something so unreliable. I'll stick to my PC and wait for the PS3 to drop a years to come.

Oh yes, the PC is an infinitely more reliable and stable gaming platform

From my point of view it is. My PC is no hassle at all. Hence the reason I dont want to risk spending my money on a 360 that as someone said above it pretty much guaranteed to breakdown.

I dont upgrade constantly, which is the cause of alot of problems. Mines up and running, 100% stable and doesnt require any tweaking or upgrades at all.

No but you will need to upgrade at some point for the upcoming games, if only to Vista.

I have abandoned the PC platform and with pleasure. Upgrades, cost and maintenance all take their toll, I know that I can turn on the Wii and its almost guaranteed to start and I'll be in a game in 2 mins or so. Same with the Xbox but not had it long yet.

Right an update, Dabs arranged to collect from me today at work - all through their automated returns procedure, so did they...........did they hell.

Have they responded to my 3 initial emails and 2 further since the last fault ( final one is a real complaint email) err no not a dicky bird.

I work in a retail enviroment, if a customer complains about a purchase I do my best to sort it out before it gets higher up, if i don't suceed/bother to sort it I get a bollocking and
my sales manager stes in and does all reasonable to appease the customer.

OK i have only spent £300 but all I wanted was some contact and a little empathy and I would have been happy with a replacement, now I want my money back and will tell everyone I come into contact with NEVER to deal with dabs.com

Bad luck man - feel for you.

Remind me, aren't DABS an online identity for a large recognised chain? I forget which one now.

Yeah, Dabs RMA service is not the best.

British Telecom, in answer to your question.

Doesn't matter how much you spend, it doesn't work and they should be working they're damndest to make sure you stay a customer.

I think on this basis and a previous order of mine I shall give Dabs a permanent wide-berth.

Nice to know they havnt changed - I had to go through small claims to get my money back for a faulty motherboard a few years back. It wasnt even a simple matter of it being faulty - It was recalled by the Gigabyte due to the huge issue it had.

Just before it went to court, they refunded me.
