    Anyone got Mortal Kombat yet?

It's out, and I'm itching. Reviews seem to post about 8/10 which for Wii games isn't a bad thing. Might have to pick it up tomorrow!

Good old Mortal Kombat - the poor mans Street Fighter, never anything more.

IGN said it was 'fatally flawed', and there's no online mode.

But if you is itchin, you is itchin.

I think it's one of those games that works really well if you've got someone to play it with, the smack talk is compulsory.

lol Stew! I never really got into Street Fighter in the same way that I got into MK though - SF seemed a bit cartoony and girly, whereas I could eat someones spleen and rip their face off with MK.

I'm not bothered about online with the Wii, I've got a gaming PC for that. My Wii is for playing with when mates/family are around. Gonna go read the IGN review to see what they think is fatally flawed.

Well I got it. The controls take a little bit of getting used to, but once you're into the swing of it, it's no better or worse. Loving the Kreate a Fighter though, nice little bonus content that really puts the shine on what is a polished game. Nothing ground breaking, but bloody good fun!

    He died ages ago!

For some years, Liu Kang went on to enjoy relative peace. However, the Deadly Alliance would make itself known on Earth by its successful assassination attempt of Liu Kang. Shang Tsung posed as Kung Lao and snuck up on the champion as he was practicing his katas. Shang Tsung, was assisted by Quan Chi, who caught Liu Kang in the back unawares with a projectile. Shang Tsung used this distraction to gain the upper hand and snapped Liu Kang's neck. He then consumed his soul. Liu Kang's mutilated body was discovered by his friend Kung Lao, and he was laid to rest at the Wu Shi Academy, where a shrine was built to honor him.

I've always been a Sub-Zero/Scorpion fan. Though I'm partial to a bit of Raiden now and then.

I prefer the old characters myself, can't be doing with all the new ones. Oh - and I like my self modeled custom char obviously as well.

Re: Anyone got Mortal Kombat yet?

I really liked MK: Deadly Alliance and MK: Deception. I haven't tried MK: Armageddon, but I think it is better than the other ones.

I really hope MK returns to his classic mode, just as Street Fighter. I would be amazing to see a new MK with terrific graphics in a 2D old school style. Street Fighter 4 looks AMAZING!!
