Think of getting this wheel but I have a couple of quick questions first. Can in be used on a PC, like the pads can? Also does it come with an kind of AC adaptor? As i have read the batteries don't last very long at all in it.
Thanks for any help.

yep it comes with an adapter, as theres no force feedback when its run on batteries
dunno about use on a pc, possibly if you get one of those wireless recievers but not heard of anyone doing it, probably because theyve got DFP's and thats in a different class

Don't think it works on a PC, unlike most wheels, this isn't a controller in disguise, it's a completely different controller and the 360 recognises it as one (has it's own separate drivers and stuff). AFAIK, the crossfire only works with regular controllers.
EDIT: And yeah, it can be powered by the mains. You can either plug in normal 360 battery pack (Li-ion or the AA pack it comes with it), or you can plug it into the mains and it will draw all it's power from there, it's also the only way to enable force feedback.
It's pretty difficult to use, Kind of regretting buying it, but at the same time not, it's not so good when you really need to be as fast as possible, but it's good when having a laugh online.
Didn't like this wheel with CM: Dirt, but I suppose it takes some getting used to

Picked one up this afternoon and only had an hour or so on it so far but I'm finding it quite hard to use at the moment. I found it's a little easier when i'm wearing shoes rather than just socks. Guess I just need a bit more practice.
I'm having a problem getting the wheel to work with PGR3, I put the disc in first before I setup the wheel like it says to do so in the manual, but I there was no mention of of it installing the drivers when I turned the Xbox on. Am I doing anything wrong? The wheel works fine with Forza.

Are you using the version of PGR3 which came with the wheel (which came with the drivers) or an old copy of PGR (which doesn't)?

Yeah I found that there wasn't any driver installation, I think they may have included it in one of the dash updates. I've not tried to play PGR3 with the wheel (or tried to play it that much for that matter ).
Does take a lot of time to get used to, the best idea is to take baby steps, I tried using it in one of my porshes, even with a controller at the best of times, this car likes to go sideways, with the wheel it was really difficult. The best idea is to start off in arcade mode with class D cars and work your way up.
Nope, I'm using the version of the game that came with the wheel. I even deleted my old save game and started again to see if that would make any difference, but I still don't have it working with it yet.
As for the wheel, I'm not sure how long I am gonna stick with it. Gave it a few hours this afternoon again and I can see a little progress. I've noticed after a while that my feet are aching, especially my breaking foot, due to being in the same position all the time I guess.
I can see they going on ebay soon, if I can get in back in the damn box
