    Xbox360 LAN in August

Just noticed another LAN event next month, in addition to i31 and XL at the NEC.

It's a smaller LAN, but there's apparently £3,000 worth of prizes up for grabs over the weekend of the event.
This is taken from the website:
Xbox 360 LAN proudly present our first ever LAN gaming event: Padworth Village Hall, Padworth, Berkshire - £30 per particpant

You bring your Xbox 360 and and you're all set the the whole weekend experience. It's a BYOX (Bring your own xbox) event which means you get to play exactly whatever games you want, whenever you want without the need of queuing to share an xbox.

There going to be plenty of tournaments happening with a selection of games and they all have prizes to go with them.

The very first Xbox 360 Lan will be held in Padworth in the village hall. The venue is perfect for the event as it includes broadband for Xbox Live, Plenty of parking spaces, kitchen facilities, indoor sleeping and outdoor camping areas as well as shower rooms as you will need to freshen yourself up at some point over the weekend. As we grow, so does our venue and we will let you know when it is time.

The current venue is ideal as it has perfect transport links with trains stopping at the local Aldermaston train station which is a 5 min walk and buses from Newbury and Reading stopping just walking distance from the venue. If your driving it's about 10 mins off the Reading junction of the M4.

Theres a petrol station nearby which sells a few groceries so we recommend you bring some meals which you can cook and keep refrigerated using the kitchen facilities. Although the venue is a little too far from a local take away, we are going to try and negotiate with one who will be happy to deliver providing we do a large order.

    You can book online: http://www.xbox360lan.co.uk/events_register.php

They are using a village hall? How many people could you fit in there with tv's and 360's?

Exactly, I used to go to loads of Xbox LAN events and it was a great chance to meet other clans. We used to use them as an excuse for our clan to get together. This isn't a commercial event, it's just gamers putting on an event for gamers.
