Im guessing you didn't get / read the instruction manuals with it then?
Would anyone be up for signing the petition I'm about to make at petitions.pm.gov.uk for common sense to be taught in schools?
So the issue probably wasn't that it was moved, but that it was kicked?....yes, it was on floor getting kicked
Common mate, the lengths you are trying to go to, to bash the 360 is silly.
maybe kicked wasnt the right word , 'feet brushing past', there you go, ok this is a next-gen console that is brilliant and while im playing this game i want to just move it over here...GGNNNNNAAAAAARRRRR, oh what was that? why's gears frozen? lets just restart the game...hang on it gets to that certain point and freezes?? lets check the disk, Dam massive scratch, game buggered, well if only i would of known not to touch this almighty £300 console (it was when i got it), I didnt know it was common sense not to move a console whilst playing it especially something as brick like as an 360, hell all of my ps1,dreamcast,ps2,ps3,games would be buggered because they all got moved about whilst being played, nope just the 360's, so lets start that petition kids, DO NOT MOVE,TOUCH,TURN HEATING ON, WHILST PLAYING THE 360, IT COULD BREAK YOUR GAMESo the issue probably wasn't that it was moved, but that it was kicked?....

valid point for a valid subject, my game didnt break my 360, my 360 broke my game, which it did.

Return key. Seriously
Can you not see why people can't follow your posts?:
try turning the console from horizontal to vert and that grinding noise...yeah that's your gears of war disk buggered...just like mineyes, it was on floor getting kickedThats 3 changes in story, in 3 posts.feet brushing past
So something spinning at thousands of RPM, with a laser only mm away from it is perfectly fine to move in your eyes? It IS common sense. Do you move your hard-disks while they are on too?I didnt know it was common sense not to move a console whilst playing it especially something as brick like as an 360
Whats the "brick" comment about? I'm lost. The Wii is smaller than the 360, PS3 is bigger.
More to the point, why the heck would you move a console while it was on?
Dont be silly, there's no changes, the only change was the wording 'kicked' to 'feet brushed past', but whatever the console messed my disk up.
The brick comment is because i thought it was a bit more sturdy.
And i did'nt expect that from the 360, the last straw was red ringing.
Actually it was for the best because once it came back from microsoft it went straight on ebay 'phew'
Actually yes do think it's fine, my ps3 gets moved whilst i'm playing as have my other consoles and as for my pc, I usually go to LAN evenings and the amount of time i've moved my pc whilst another person is playing, never had a problem! So something spinning at thousands of RPM, with a laser only mm away from it is perfectly fine to move in your eyes? It IS common sense. Do you move your hard-disks while they are on too?
I thought you would of heard about the numerous problems people have had with their 360's damaging disk's when moving!!
a few quotes:
It didn't take long until the seriousness of the situation reared it ugly head right here in the Llamma's shop. I personally have experienced this issue not once but twice already. Here I was at a friends house helping him get this 360 all setup and networked for Live. In the process we decided to lay the Xbox on it side instead of the upright position.. I thought nothing of doing this while the unit was powered up and in the middle of a game. Big Mistake!Again it should be common sense not to move a high speed disc device with the disc in. On the other hand it should be common sense that it's a game console, it will be moved around while its on.Vertical Xbox 360s endanger disks; play safe, play horizontally - JoystiqI wonder how many of us 360 owners read our manuals..lol. I guess this is a good example to do so in the future; not that it would have sunk in. I had games to play not read and learn important documentation about "the most exciting product on the planet!"

So it was a problem, i'm not the only idiot to turn their console whilst playing, I know this was a while ago now, i've been clean of 360 for a few years now.
There was a solution in a small rubber pad being mounted? not sure if the new units still have the same problem?
why ? why do you move a console around while it's on ? you don't need to move it to play it, why is that common sense ?On the other hand it should be common sense that it's a game console, it will be moved around while its on.
I appriciate not everyone has the room to put their consoles in ideal places and leave them there, but surly when in "playing" mode you just leave them there, what is the need to move them around ???
It is Inevitable.....
Its not like i'm playing them on a hammock, it's a handful of times.
i've taken my console round a few friends and it can get busy, there's very little room in a couple of places and the consoles been moved to different positions, now i know prime position round all my mates. So it does happen, consoles do get moved.
I can't believe your blaming microsoft for your stupidity. Its not even their problem.
I don't see you going "stupid benq, liteon, toshiba, samsung, hitatchi" etc, whoever actually made the drive inside your console. Microsoft don't make optical drives. Enough with the MS bashing, its getting old and its as unfashionable as saying "phat". Leave it for the 1990's.
I don't see the sense in buying a PS3, when there are no good games atm, all the games that are out look better and load faster on the Xbox and the console is cheaper. Sony have also had to beg developers to stay developing for them. Its too costly to code and no-one wants to buy it as its far too expensive and they are slowly ripping it to bits. It will be eventually just a blu-ray player and not a console, as sony has taken everything out. The PS3 hasn't been out long enough to see how reliable enough, don't forget the RROD problem didn't start straight away. One of the causes of it will be inside the PS3 as well. Lead free solder is one of the culprits along with a poor mounting mechanism.
Its all fanboy this and fanboy that. I don't see the point. SONY DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU.
Microsoft loves you though, It says so on the Barge at the PS3 launch
And besides, The 360 didn't break your game. You did.
I'm not blaming then, it was my fault. But you expect more from a console that can be played in two postitions. Just because sony have nailed it so you CAN move your console whilst playing, sony dont care about me as soon as i imported my console from the us nearly a year ago, and tbh i dont care!
really read through this again, it's easy done!

anyway's i've spent far too long explaining this. My fault - yes ! (that's why i got another gears game after that)
ok supaflyLeave it for the 1990's.

You would be very surprised some of the things I hear while working at college. Some of the students have no common sense at all!
But yeah anyone that moves any console while in game isnt the sharpest tool in the box.

I used to work at one of the busiest Game stores... You wouldn’t believe how many people we had to explain this to. Or more specifically that there was nothing wrong with the game and therefore they could not have there money back under the warranty.
