well, just been playing it for about an hour, cant say its a great advance. the reg is crap (but hey its beta), the rifles you start are all the same as g3, and the sub machine guns are all the same as a crap mp5. the maps are pretty, tanks is fun, but the only map you get to use it its really restricted. i can't see it being better than CoD4. sorry

yea - im gutted.
i was in the BETA for cod4 last year.
but for some reason - it couldn't find my charlieoscardelta.com account when i tried to register/login on Callofduty.com
had to create a new account - so im not a VIP on the website - which i should be

played it a bit more, really disappointed with it if im honest. i shall not be buying it.

Why do you say that Russ? Multiplayer is the only reason I'm buying it, is it anything like as playable as Call of Duty 4?

it is cod 4 really. the maps are very pretty and well put together, but the weapons are annoying. people take a while to die, think more than half a mag of smg spray, and a 5(ish) rifle rounds. it isn't as fun as cod4 either, i remember playing the Beta for that and thinking "where have you been all my life". the attack dogs are pretty good, stops campers, but they jump a very long way and when a dog is biting you, they dont actually need to bite you to kill you :| and 2 bites will kill you.

so thats, 5 bullets, or 2 bites from a doggy. as a ww2 game, its not CoD2, as a multiplayer squad based shooter, its not CoD 4, its in the middle of the two

Just pre-ordered from game. If I receive my beta key on Friday I'll give you a game Finlay/Russ.

While this is probably quite annoying, you've got to remember the level 11 level cap. They've probably held many of the better weapons back for later on.(i.e 1 shot kills for the rifles and about 6-7 who for the SMG's/LMG's)
