"The less you eat, drink and buy books; the less you go to the theatre, the dance hall, the public house; the less you think, love, theorise, sing, paint, fence, etc., the more you save – the greater becomes your treasure which neither moths nor rust will devour – your capital. The less you are, the less you express your own life, the more you have, the greater is your alienated life, the greater is the store of your estranged being." Karl Marx
Fallout 3 for me.

I told my girlfriend about this horrible horrible dilema... So she preordered Fable II for me which arrives on Friday. Ironically shes been wanting to spend some time with me this weekend (shes at uni in another part of the country).... pffft, yeah right... unless she jumps in coop she'll be spending time with my mezmerized soul.
Bingo.
Its all a bit tricky. FarCry 2... not that arsed by it. I had a high end gaming rig when the first one came out, and even running it on some pretty high settings, its wasn't that exciting a game. Good, but not great.so keep PES (dont like football games myself)and i'll get myself Far Cry 2, then next week Fallout 3, then the week after will hopefully be Little big planet then the week after Motorstorm 2 ( just dont tell the missus)
Fable 2 looks good, and I could do with a decent RPG, but the reviews are from 8.5-9.5, so not a must own, more a wont-be-dissapointed-if-you-do-buy sorta game.
Fallout 3 is probably the most exciting of the bunch, but I'm waiting for the reviews.
Gears 2 will be great, I'm sure, but after Halo and Cod and BioShock I'm a little sick of straight FPS games.
I might stretch to Fable and Fallout.
Course if it were 2 games I'm really looking forward to, say Street Fighter 4 and Halo Wars, I could drop the £80 and not mind so much.
I wouldn't go by what the first game was like. Far Cry 2 is by completely different developers, and juding by previews it's an altogether different game. It sounds more like GTA in Africa. I'll be disappointed if it ends up like Crysis because that was pretty damn boring, only the eye-candy kept me going 'til the end.
Picking up Fallout 3 and Gears 2 from the games listed above. I don't get a massive amount of times to play games these days like I used to. Main reason for picking up Fallout 3 is that it comes out on the start of a week off for me.
