    360 RPG's

Hello. I'm looking for a decent RPG for the 360. Something that is not out on PC. Apart from the Final Fantasy though as they are more a console based RPG. The last one I played was FF8. And they play different to most PC based RPG's. I'm not really looking for a real action heavy type game or Hack n Slash.

I have seen a few I feel I may be interested in:

    The Last Remnant.
    Lost Oddesy.
    And Final Fastasy series.

I think I'm feeling like playing a Final Fantasy game or something along those lines. But which one?
Also not necessarily anything new as I'm new to 360. So an older classic may be good.

What do you think and what is your favorite RPG on 360 to date?

Infinite Undiscovery, it's a JRPG (like the Final Fantasy series) made by Tri-Ace, published by Square Enix (FFs' creators).

Have a look at some gameplay trailers, and if you want I've just finished writing up a review for it

I just had a quick look. The Moon chained to the earth? I'll have to hunt more info on this.
I like the way Square bring out original stuff.

Out of that list I own and really enjoy Lost Oddesy, I'd actually say its my favorite JRPG to date, however it has one bit missing which is Guardian Forces / summons The game really would be ace if it featured them, some enemies are ripped from final fantasy, so you'll see a few familar faces.. Its cheap now so i'd grab it. The Last Remnant is also meant to be good I do want to pick it up at some point, just got to many games to play at the moment! Not even completed Lost Oddesy yet!

I'd really like a read of that please, do you intend to post it on the readers review section?

Ah yes, that is one aspect I'd completely forgotten about. None of those in Infinite Undiscovery either

It'll be going up on www.GameOn.co.uk pretty soon, alternatively add me on msn and I'll send it over (cba to figure out any way of getting it on Hexus, forums or otherwise). It's not the most pretty review - only in notepad atm - and it's also my first, so I haven't got the exact feel for reviewing just yet.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is a good one, fallout 3 (made by the same people) is also pretty entertaining.

    Re: 360 RPG's

Just had a read through it now, quite enjoyed it actually, short and to the point.

Not sure whether I like the real time aspect and that you can only control Capell though.

No demo out for it is there?

Nice one. A bit of a downer about not being able to fully control your party in a fight. I take it it plays like Final Fantasy when fighting? The whole fun was issuing orders to your character party. And it does seem a bit short for those types of RPGs'.

And Fallout 3 has got to be my favorite RPG to date. The world is excellent. And the person who dreamed up Ghouls and also Slavers and it's own drugs - genious. Even if Bethesda didn't dream that up.

Does anyone here recommend a FF game that is not an online game?

Well there are quite a few below average console RPGs, and no real stand out 10/10 games.

I'd say Eternal Sonata, Lost Odyssey, Infinite Undiscovery, and Blue Dragon would be the best 4.

The Last Remnant has 'extreme technical issues', and 'abysmal frame-rate problems', as well as 'awful texture pop-in', to quote some reviews. And is 'crap', to quote me.

Get Eternal Sonata or Infinite Undiscovery, or be doing it wrong.

Also consider Star Ocean: The Last Hope, which is out April 24 in Europe. That could be the best of the lot. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Ocean:_The_Last_Hope

    Re: 360 RPG's

@Digit: no demo that I know of, unfortunately

@CaseyV9: It plays most like FF12 out of all battle styles, in that you can see enemies in the field (fights are not at random times) and you fight them in the field rather than loading a separate battle screen.

If you want to play a a Final Fantasy, there are none on 360 until next year (reportedly). FF10 on PS2 is getting some good nostalgia sessions going at the moment though
