    Re: Killzone 2

not looking good and this is coming from a die hard kz2 fan who even setup a clan filled up already:

Right! The game sucks not really but!!!

The controls are exactly like they are in the demo 100%
thats not a bad thing but considering the online game runs at 20 fps max aiming is impossible.

I can tell you now that 50% of the people that signed up to play online will not play this game for any period of time.

If people had trouble aiming in the demo then you might as well sell the game after SP because the MP is not going to be for you.

The MP feels so slow it's almost like your in slo mo, and because of the low frame rate aiming shots when your under fire is difficult, I had no problem with this in SP as you can take your time and the frame rate is constant.

Anybody that doesn't want to put hundreds of hours in to this game in unlocking all the classes and guns might as well just forget online they will just get very frustrated and give in because by Friday there will be thousands of players with all the perks so the average crap clan will ave no chance, not to win matches but in just staying alive.

I can really see a hell of a lot of people playing this at most a week online and then never touching it again, unless you want to put huge amounts of time in to unlock, learn and do everything, the average Joe will get owned big time and just stop playing.

This game is going to take a lot of getting used to and huge amounts of time to get into, I suspect their will be a lot of people moaning in a week saying I'm not going online I just get killed every second, I'm not playing it's too slow and so on!!!!
No way is this a MP game where you can just jump in and play a hour when you feel like it so crap clan your out of luck I'm afraid unless your only going to play by your selfs for the remainder of the games life.

This is just my first thoughts after 1 hour so will probably change and I am willing to put the time in to see what happens, I can see this being a amazing game but will require loads of time to get enjoyment out of it.

    All negative?

No, it looks amazing apart from the low fram rate, this could just be the server I was on so will have to check on this.

Sounds great, loads of stuff to do and unlock, blah, blah you already know all the great stuff.
Basically what I'm getting at is if your not going to put in the hours, and a lot at that, then you can forget just jumping online for a quick blast or for a quick fun game unless you are of course playing friends only.

Could be amazing and probably is only played a very short time but this type of MP will put loads of casual players off, only hardcore here I'm afraid especially when everybody online has all the classes unlocked.
Just typing stuff of the top of my head if it doesn't make any sense.

I can't wait to get stuck in as it is good it's just such a shock from the usual fps MP game, Put the time in and it could be the best MP game ever???

    Oh and nobody talks online

I will give it a good hammer tonight and give my final thoughts

    Re: Killzone 2

Meh, didn't play the demo as I didn't wanna ruin my game experience for it as it we're. Hopefully it will be with me either tomorrow or Friday and as long as it's as good as or better than Resistance 2 then I think it will be £29.99 well spent, considering I've spent more than that on sher titles out there in the past I doubt I'll be complaining, especially considering I've been waiting years for this ever delayed title!

Gonna go download my free KillZone 2 them for my PS3 now that I got with my KillZone 2 preorder from Play.

I would say it is defiantly like the Gran Turismo of fps, slower, more tactical, serious game that with out squads, tactics and team work you don't stand a chance in hell in the general population online.
The games are over before you know whats what with out some sort of a plan.

This is defo one for the hardcore only and in a week or so when people start unlocking stuff and playing as squads, casual players that venture on line won't last 2 min's and get very, very annoyed.
The person who only plays now and again will have to just play in private rooms I reckon as the online will just be too punishing, unless your willing to spend hundreds of hours online.

Think some are in for a major shock.

This is just all my take on it.

    interesting

Press quote and it will tell you

Apparently online matches consist of various rounds. Capture the flag style thing, then something else, and then another type. Does anyone know anything about that?

I only like playing regular deathmatch and team DM so if that is the case, I wont be playing much of the game online.

Single player is fun so far. Controls seem exactly the same as the demo to me.

    Re: Killzone 2

I have to say I don't like it very much, I'm so disappointed with it to say the least.

Here are my main gripes with it after playing it for 2 hours. The controls are poor, the amount of bullets each enemy takes is ridiculous. The way it doesn't reload automatically once you've run out of bullets is annoying. The zoom on the gun is awful, the continuous respawning is a joke. The way the enemy can run, duck or just about do anything and still get a perfect shot on you is poor. The fact that the character you play with gets right in the way nearly all of the time. If I have full grenades and don't pick them up, use the ones I have got and then expect to be able to pick up the ones I left before only to see that they have disappeared is annoying.

I'm sure my list will increase but for the moment this game for me is worse than Resistance 2. A lot worse.

I've have had a quick go on Body Count (team deathmatch) and really enjoyed it. I don't think I'll do the SP part of the game and just stick with the MP.
