Chat invite spamming

Has anyone else been spammed by chat invites on the 360? I was playing COD4 and chat invites were constantly popping up. Blocking comms didn't stop it because he must have sent so many - I had to restart my console to stop it. Why can't MS put a limit on time between invites or something??

I believe it's some kind of glitch, that means you have to restart your console to stop it. It's favoured by arsey little 12 year olds that don't like the fact you're better than them.

Next thing I know I've got about 9,000 invites to the game and party.

Guess I have to suffer these kinda people as I can only play late at night, meh.

Do what I do, I have a number of people from Hexus on my friends list and then there are my friends on there to and I create a party with them and we just sit in there and talk in there instead of listening to the public chat crap in games. It also seems to stop any party invites as you are already in one. Plus you have the added bonus of actually talking to those from here and also your friends

Nope, never happened to me. I've never received a single invite to chat, spammer or otherwise. Of course, the fact that I only use the 360 offline might have something to do with that.

I do usually chat in a party and I was at the time. The annoying thing is since they all popped up one after the other I couldn't press the guide button without the chat invite window showing up.

i have had this in cod 4 and 5. me and my friends just appear away and they cant do it
also spam them bak just keep cliking X on chat invite

Yeah i had it in gears from a guy that was glitching and team killing. I managed to get him back and then he chat glitched me. Had to restart.

If you can manage to get the guide up without opening the chat window you can set yourself to busy which will stop the invites pinging on your screen. They can spam as much as the like then and you can't see it (it will still appear in your inbox). Also block communications with the person so they can't do it in future.
