    Yeah generic number go through all the guff with the voice activated system, go to accessories and then support, keep saying next till it gets to step 2 and then say agent and hold the line. I got through to an agent in 5 minutes then he went to speak to a supervisor for nearly 35 minutes I was on hold then he came back and said he would send a new cable and dvd out xD

    Finlay, would you be able to bring up your cable and dvd with you this weekend so I could give it a shot, if that doesn't work then I will have to wait for the new ones to arrive from MS.

    Re: 360 HDD upgrade

    There are two versions of the cable:

    V1 only allows transfers from 20GB --> 120GB
    V2 allows transfer from 20GB --> 60GB or 120GB

    Quite why this is the case I don't know, but certainly if you were to buy a 60GB Xbox 360 Pro you'd get the v2 cable. Intially elites shipped with the V1 cable. I guess 'old' ones may still be floating around.

    Re: 360 HDD upgrade

    ordered my elite from amazon yesterday £263 next day delivered with 4 games and an extra controller. Burnout trivial pursuit fifa 09 and dead space + connect 4 already got burnout so will sell that with my old console.

    Tried to phone microsoft last night and my phone line has developed a fault Bt say it will be fixed on monday (didnt wanna be stuck on hold for half hour on my mobile) so had to fill out the form and post that instead.

    Re: 360 HDD upgrade

    i got an email from microsoft today saying mine is now in the post so hopefully it will turn up soon as am currently using my 20gb hdd on my elite with the 120 in the drawer.

    the woman on the phone was very funny she told me "the cable has 100% success rate however sometimes it doesn't transfer your license over to the new drive and stuffs it up"

    something about that statement had me laughing alot

    Re: 360 HDD upgrade

    100% eh lol 3 cables and 3 dvd's later it took me

    However, I think the licences only come into play when you move your files to a HD that's used in a different console. I did mine last night and it never asked about the licences to be swapped and all the xbla games worked as normal.
