    CoH Keeps crashing

    Hey All

Sorry if this is not the right forum but wondering whether you can help. I've recently installed Company of Heroes with both expansion packs but it keeps crashing at certain points in the mission. I've got all the latest patches for it but it still keeps happening. What is strange is it seems to always happen at the same points. Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks for any help!

    Re: CoH Keeps crashing

You mean crash to desktop, crash and shutdown?
Graphics drivers up to date? Direct X up to date?
What have they said at the CoH support?

Also notice that your running a 4870 on a 450W PSU, that could also be an issue if it's shutting down the PC.

    Re: CoH Keeps crashing

Sorry should have given more detail. It keeps crashing to desktop. I've had a look at the temps and they are all ok, plus I play other games and they work fine. It just happens on CoH for some reason. I will check the Direct X and Driver updates but am pretty sure I am on the latest ones.

    Re: CoH Keeps crashing

Is it the same, or similar, point(s)?

If so, it might be worth uninstalling it, give your HDD a good cleanup and defrag and then try installing again.

    Re: CoH Keeps crashing

Yeah it seems to be at the same points. It's a new build with brand new parts and only been up a running for bout 2 weeks. Would I still need to do the defrag?

    Re: CoH Keeps crashing

Sorry guys, forgot to give an update.

I updated the GPU driver to the latest one, and all seems to be ok at the mo! Was playing for about 8 hours straight the other night and played through without any problems, even getting past the parts where it was crashing before, so think that was what the problem was.

I know that was one of the first things I should've done, but in my defence I thought I already had!

Thanks for your help though guys!
