Fitting optical audio and HDMI into an xbox (Elite)

What the best way now to fit op[tical audio as well - to I have to butcher the AV cable so I can use HDMI as well, or spend the wonga for an optical audio adapter which doesn't hamper using the HDMI port?

They removed it with the newer ones IIRC but ask MS for a free one as they should have one in the box.

They should replace the current connection block with the slimline one, it's just extra plastic casing that can be removed

And if they dont then have a trip to your local Computer Exchange (Or just check online, though not sure what the official term is). I got one from my local one for £5 and it works a treat.

Re: Fitting optical audio and HDMI into an xbox (Elite)

    All done now

As my monitor (which ism 1920x1200) as no HDMI but a DVI input, I got an HDMI-DVI connector, and a DVI switch box so my PC can use the same DVI port. Sorted.
