Definitive PS3 Games?

Hi, I'm thinking about getting a PS3, and wondered what are the must-have games for it? I'm definately getting God of War 1,2 & 3, and GT5 when it comes out. What others are console-defining titles?

Personally I dont think there really is one (from the games I've played), but If i had to say then it would be Little Big Planet.

Uncharteds are both great.
Infamous is ok and can be had for pretty cheap now.
Killzone 2 is a lovely looking game with frustrating controls but again is very cheap.
Rather and clank series have lots of fans but i never got into them.

They're my favourite games on the PS3 by a country mile.

Infamous is available for £10, Uncharted available for £13-14 (both of them). LBP should be cheap, especially so when the second is released. Can't think of any other PS3 exclusives I'd recommend.

its not just on the ps3 but i found bayonetta a game worthy of getting, aswell as DMC 4,

Right, I've ordered Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction, God of War Collection, Little Big Planet and Sega Megadrive collection, cos my wife likes old skool games...

£60 gone in the blink of an eye...

Personally I'd skip the other GOW's and just get god of war 3.

Uncharted 2 is fantastic and I would recommend playing uncharted 1 first!

Infamous is very good but Infamous 2 should be coming soon so maybe hold out for that, same with LBP2 and GT5

Sorry to hijack the thread. I recently picked a PS3 up. I am getting Little Big Planet, is there a massive difference between the standard version which can be had fo £10 and the GOTY edition which can be had for £18?

GOTY has a load of DLC and Sackboy costumes etc - I wouldn't say its essential having completed the 'vanilla' version of LBP, but plenty of the custom created levels online use the DLC.
