Wii Virtual Console games - what you got then? :)

    So far I've bought:

    Gunstar Heroes
    SF2
    Super Probotector
    Super Bomberman
    Mariokart 64

Now out of these, I'd never really heard of Super Probotector or Mariokart 64, so I bought these on the recommendation of others. I wish I hadn't really, since I didn't get on with either that much. Mariokart 64 is good for a laugh with another person on battle mode, but the single player is genuinely shocking (Oh my word the catchup is just silly!). As for Probotector, it's supposed to be the best SNES game ever (according to the reviews) and yet I find it.. dull. Go play Gunstar for a bit then play this and it's just left wanting. Very disappointed and a waste of money for me.

Kinda makes me wonder if they'll do demos on the VC, since at the moment once you've bought something you're stuck with it with no option of try before you buy.

i agree with what you say about mariokart, 1 player is awful but get 3 friends around and its excellent fun!

the only game i have got so far is Toejam & Earl which my girlfriend loves playing!

I am thinking of getting mario64 as it is probably one of the games that i played and enjoyed the most in the past!

I've always preferred Mario Kart 64! I was never keen on the SNES version, and Double Dash on the Gamecube was a bit dull.

Although it's very hard to decide between MK64 the DS Mario Kart - that is superb too and including some 'retro' tracks from the SNES, N64, GC and GBA versions was a very nice touch ... it might just pip MK64 to the post to being my favourite version!

Reading on some game sites today - apparently the next incarnation of Mario Kart will be out for the Wii later this year...

Is Super Bomberman playable with the Wii Remote, is there a site somewhere that tells me compaibility before I buy?

I don't have any but the playability on the Wii Remote is critical as I don't want to buy too much extra for it.

Just F-Zero, and what a disappointment it was.

Need to get a copy of the Cube version from Ebay. Snag is that it's jumped in price since the Wii came out. Knew it was gonna happen, shouldn't have been so tight bidding for copies pre-Wii

Super Bomberman is brilliant - worth every penny. As far as I can tell it works with the WiiMote. When you buy games look for the little controller icons, since they tell you which ones will work with it.

    ^^ yes it does

I went a bit crazy with virtual console lol, loving it so far

    bought:

    Mario Bros
    Super Mario Bros
    Golden Axe
    Donkey Kong Country
    Sonic
    R-Type
    Comix Zone

Loving them all I'm tempted to get MK64 (can't believe you don't like it much Lowe/leeglf!) but then I have it on my n64 still, and MKDS is close enough for me.

I'm waiting for streets of rage (I or II) now though, that would be an awesome game for VC Or any rareware game..not that microsoft will ever let that happen

got f-zero, sf2 and super mario.

Seriously love F zero, as good as it always was and I think still one of the best racing games you can get.
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.
