You know, I almost don't want to buy a film for it. It just seems horrible to be taking a step backwards into film, and having to get things developed and faffing around with stuff I thought I'd evolved beyond.

But I'm more scared that I'm going to love it and turn into born again film nut, converting the shed into a dark room and rarely seeing the light of day....

Even so, it looks cool, especially with the ability to layer exposures and with control over exposure timing...

And ofcourse it's going to look cool on display in the home besides being a difinitive conversation peice for the beautiful photography students you bring back for coffee....

But it does indeed look cool. Got it from the Baltic Gallery shop in Newcastle....they had tonnes of Lomo's, fisheye, four vertical lenses, four lenses 2x2, colourflash....I'd have bought one if somebody didn't already buy it for me.....I think the best one was the landscape one, but it was £200....

I picked up a Lomo Octomat in Urban Outfitters in the states last week.

it takes 8 shots in about 2 seconds on a single 35mm frame. Not used it yet, but i have bought film for it

you can be really creative with those, you should def use it, and post the results

Plus you can get film dirt cheap, and experiment with Velvia 50, and just chuck in old expired film as well. Then get the results put on CD at the time of developing, and you end up with 2mp images

I was going to get one in the US as well ($70) but i never got a chance to go back to Urban Outfitters

I've got a Lomo LC-A - it's quite nice - but there's no way I'd ever pay lomography prices! (I managed to get it for £42 from ebay.de but it's still a rip off).

i suspected that, but as i didn't buy it i never went hunting to see where i could get it from
