I want a really small hopefully 3 port one which supports 1.3 and doesn't cost the earth....

Not sure by what you would call "doesn't cost the earth" but i saw that What HiFi gave a 2 post HDMI switch a 5 star rating, so had a quick look and found they also did a 3 port switch that supports 1.3

That one is a bit smaller than the one i posted (and a lot cheaper) if you want small then how about this one http://www.engadget.com/2007/08/16/a...support-1440p/ only downside its only a 2-way switch.

The 28577T seems fairly small, but is 2 port only. They have a few others, though I don't know if they fit the "compact" part of your requirements.
