    More Paris...no, not her!

Had some flights to use up, so went back for a couple of days earlier this week. Weather hadn't improved much.....it was cold. Paris just isn't the same when it's not baking....

I have decided I really don't like the Canon 28-135...it's just horrible. On the upside, I can now justify getting a decent zoom lens....

    Any opinions welcome...

With HDR you get the sky and the building, so doens't look lik it.

I like the tow "ugly building" ones.

Whats wrong with the Canon 28-135?

Nope, just enhanced....sky looks like it though, doesn't it? If I'd had my tripod I'd have tried for some, but the sun was behind the building, so wouldn't have been very good.

It's soft, slow, not wide enough and/or not long enough. It's a compromise lens, and when I compare it to my primes, I realise I'd never trade up the quality glass for the convenience of an average zoom. Guess that after some really good f1.8 and f2.0 lenses, I'm just spoilt

    Re: More Paris...no, not her!

fair enough. I wouldn't use it personally either. I like the width of my 17-85 and the length of my 100-300. Although i was really tempted with the 10-22 when i was in NYC. I was going to get the canon 100-400, but BH Photo Video didn't have them in stock
