    Missing LG DVD remote

we've misplaced the remote for our sitting room dvd player it's an LG DV-3520 and the remote hasn't been seen in months. What are the options in getting a replacement? Can you get cheap generic replacements? Do we have to contact LG direct and pay through the nose for a replacement? Would a multifunction remote like the kamelon be a good idea or without the existing remote to program it would it be pointless?

it's been 3-4 months now we've taken all furniture appart and looked everywhere and not seen hide nor hair of it. I can only presume it ended up getting thrown away with some rubbish or falling into a bag or something, it's defintely not in the house.

Please don't make any more "amusing" sugegstions on where it may be

I guess one of them all-in-one remotes would work, then you can put away all your other devices away. However, I don't think that all-in-one remotes work with IrDA, only IR... might be worth checking it out..

I bet if you buy one you'll find the LG one!

PS. phoning LG and askin for a replacement might not cost you as much as you think...

I'd try going to a repair shop first - there normally quite cheap.

When I bought my Denon amp 2nd hand from a hifi shop near here it was missing the remote, he offered to get me a new one for £10 (although we do know the owner so ... )

A decent electrical shop will order you one, or you can probably just e-mail LG and ask and they should give you a number to phone, thats what we did when we ordered a new remote for our old phillips widescreen
