    halp?!

Yo, I have a set of Creative 750's. I believe the amp is broken on the sub causing a fussy sound on all speakers (apart from the middle channel). I have tried load of different sources with different cables, and I don' think its static, all has exactly the same result.

Apart from getting the amp on the sub fixed, which will be expensive. Would it be possible to connect a external amp............ like this http://www.bkelec.com/HiFi/Amps/teac_ag75d.htm (ofc I would need 7.1), or would that not work?

    Cheers

    Re: halp?!

An AV receiver like that teac would be able to drive all your 7 satellite speakers with its internal amplification (providing there driving independence isnt to low), but you will not be able to drive the sub with the AV amp. You maybe able to pick up a cheap mono power amp that can run off the sub pre-out of the receiver and directly drive the creative sub driver.
A bit of a pain and also pretty expensive just to keep the creative surround speakers going.
