    Printer Problems! Halp!

    Hey guys!

I have a HP K5400DN officejet printer with a bizarre problem.

I need to print off a job application (B&W) and my printer is saying I can't because:
I have run out of yellow ink.

I'll get a new cartridge tomorrow or whenever I'm not busy, is there any way to force the printer to print for now?

I have contacted HP support but they haven't responded as-of-yet. Their telephone support were unable to help for some reason.
    Many thanks in advance.

Edit: The black ink is full, bought a new one last week.
Edit 2: Posted in the wrong forum, sorry.

I do not know this make of printer, but my HP the D71260 does exactly the same and my old Epson did also.

I think its scandalous that you can't set a printer to use only 1 colour for printing in this day and age

Maybe someone on the board will have a workaround though. Fingers crossed

There are proper re-set tools that'll make it think it's full.

Or there are re-fill packs that involve pots of ink and a syringe, but probobly nothing you can do quiker than getting a cartridge from the shop, one advantage of having cartriges with the windows you could fool the printer with a bit of tape.

Short of findng a program option in print setup you'll have to wait till you've replaced it, sorry.
