Can you explain this a bit more? I read somewhere about not being able to bypass the 100Hz circuit or something.Originally Posted by Howard
I can switch between 50Hz and 100Hz on my Sony. I have a feeling that this just switches off the extra processing on the picture though.
50Hz is best for fast moving objects on screen e.g. Football - 100Hz is best most other times e.g. digital tv, dvds.

Does the 50Mhz mode allow you to play lightgun games like Time Crisis? I've heard they don't work with 100Mhz TVs.
sadly....that aint true....Philips for one definately give you the choice on the Menu.Originally Posted by Howard
Not that Howard is wrong.....cos he might be right....MAYBE the TV just draws the lines twice.....is likely.
Please Howard..dont be miffed by me disagreeing....just trying to get the right answer

No idea. I don't see why lightgun games wouldn't work.Originally Posted by Aaron

Wouldn't totally agree with you there.Originally Posted by DeludedGuy
I'd say the worst problem with RPTVs is light whether it be electrical or natural light while watching something with night time scenes or just dark pics. Reflection probs.
Viewing from an angle poses no problems with our 42" Panasonic and the picture quality from a quality source such as DVD is very good.
