for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
B&q have their own cables section but id question its value considering they just sell generic philex cable which is actually a quid cheaper at amazon direct : http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philex-19806.../dp/B0026IAOYG
Be warned though it appears it is copper clad aluminium(read the review down at amazon) which is cheap and actually what the cable i mentioned is most likely made of (it rings a bell). I personally would be buying the richersounds stuff as i know it isnt, ive cut it many times and it looks nothing like the cheap cable with the aluminium like inside after.
Thats my personal preference though, if you are using it as a temp cable get cheap stuff but for long last setups id recommend spending a few quid more, not much but just enough for proper copper!.

This Van Damme is seriously good stuff for the money:

I use the 6mm stuff throughout.

Most people would need about 6m so I guess if you call £15 seriously expensive then... well yes the price is obese!
Butuz
6m is pretty short depending how you have your setup, for me ive used like 20 metres, the rears use about 6m each because of shear distance from my av receiver and my fronts use about 3m each.
So yeah maybe if your amp is close then 6m could be ok for 2.0 setup but for anything more id say alot more .
That's my issue at the minute, I'm not sure if they'll be staying in the place they are now otherwise i wouldn't mind committing £15 to some good spec cable.
What does it mean by 2mm, 4mm, 6mm etc - the diameter/thickness of the cable?
Edit: NVM, opened my eyes and actually looked at the picture.

That's not expensive.... Chord Signature is expensive.

Terb, the size is *generally* given as the cross sectional area, so double check, cuz some will, of course, quote you as diameter
Course, there's nothing wrong with that nice thick solid copper 2 core mains and bare earth in that lovely grey sheath Plumb that into the walls too

I ended up ordering some of the Van Damme stuff and its as thick as some Richmond sausages!

To connect my B&Ws I'd need 2x3m of the 4 wire stuff, which for the 2.5mm stuff is £24. Not too bad. If I have them terminate it for me, it is £72....
So i think my amp is on the way out (not impressed).
My initial reason for replacing the speaker cable was because there was a constant staic noise coming from the left speaker which appeared out of nowhere. I assumed it was down to RS' bog-standard stuff and the fact i had to splice two cables together for extra length as i moved the speakers around. The problem still persists with the new cable and i just thought sod it, maybe I've not tightened it up right. Anyhow i've just gone to use the headphone jack on the front and the static is present through that as well.
A quick Google has thrown up two pages where people seem to have the problem with this specific amp:
http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/forum...ce-manual.html
http://www.reddit.com/r/vinyl/commen..._of_my_stereo/
As with the user in the Reddit thread, I too am using a Project Essential TT but i don't think that is the issue as the static is still there without any inputs.
As a side note, have you noticed anything with yours, Dave?

Not that I've noticed - Denon's warranty service centres are pretty good though
Yep that does sound like the amp is shot. Hope it's in warranty for you?
