They do a few different ones IIRC - this was bought in 2010 - so doubtless its all changed anyway!
Terb - you don't need them no - you simply use the screw down terminals on the amp/speakers. That said, it makes life easier if you unplug/replug things.

Format - I'd move the desk over to the left and put the speakers on a pair of speaker stands either side of the desk.

Well, yeah, at the the PC but we have people over quite a lot before and after nights out (clubbing, pubs etc) so the room too.
edit : I might try and measure the dimensions of the room to get a better idea of placement later tonight. Going out for a run now!

Hmm, surely tinned copper would be a colour coating on the outside not the inside out? its only when you cut it that you can see a silver/aluminium colour in the strands (only copper colour on the outside). It isnt OFC, i just had a look at daves link and it doesnt say it there (unless im blind, tell me), i actually ordered this:

and it was £15 (my bad, 60p per metre... still reasonable!). Doesnt mentioned OFC on the cable just the size. However being OFC doesnt mean much apart from durability and tbh i dont think many of us live on a beach to worry much about that?

Format what speakers are you getting? If its floorstanders id say move your desk into the middle more and have them either side (bit away from the desk and wall). Or if its bookshelf speakers than yeah move to the left and just have them either side
I currently have my speakers setup in a terrible way, didnt really think of my space limiations when purchasing these

It's my living room (recently moved in with gf), although the bedroom isn't much smaller. Only 2 rooms in the flat though - the kitchen is rather small and just to the left of where I took the second picture. Lovely high ceilings though - I have high hopes for the acousticsAfter looking at the second pic your room seems massive!

I would get two stands off ebay and have one each side of the desk, if you look back g8ina made a good steal earlier with a set of atacamas for a tenner!
For the purposes of filling the room with music after being at the pub i wouldn't sacrifice music enjoyment when chilling on the PC.
