All I have to do now is somehow put this idea into the Ruler_of_spike's head that I need another bass...

BTW, when I was trying out the Edge 5, another guy was trying the Dean Rhapsody 12 (12 string bass!!!) Dean seems to be reasonable made Korean guitars at some very reasonable prices - the Edge 5 was £279...
Yeah, I was checking out the 6-string bass that Dean do, a while ago...

Very nice indeed And price tag isn't too hefty, considering it's a 6 string

I'm getting on a bit now but I bought my 1963 Gibson SG Junior 26 years ago, in 1977. Prior to that I had a Les Paul Sunburst DeLuxe which I stupidly sold.

Played in a decent semi pro rock band through most of the Seventies - got a mention on radio One once. End of femto second of fame.

Oh, had a 200 watt Marshall stack at the time.

When I was trying out the Edge 5, I was really struggling to make use of the low B string... Since I haven't had the chance to play stuff with the 5th string. On top of that, I'm not sure if I can handle a 6-stringer - I've a small hand for a guy and I think I'd have a tough time with too wide a neck.

Thought it was a Warwick. Had the distinctive headstock and body shape... they’re very nice basses, and they should that price

I'm downloading the songs now, cheers for the link.

Once upon a time, I dreamt of owing a Warwick. I just love the natural wood finish of their instruments. Now, I want one like this...

Very nice indeed I would love a nice 4-string Precision Bass.

I would also love one of these. Hefty price tag though

It certainly looks very nice... The spec doesn't say whether it's a single piece head and neck?!

Today, I had the pleasure of trying a 1999 remake of the 1975 Fender Jazz Bass (USA made)... Wow!! What a piece of kit! That sound is just amazing. I mean I thought my own American Deluxe Jazz has a warm and punchy sound, this baby just blew that away like no tomorrow. I'm truely impress... The only problem is that it cost £1,200 - this is a sale price! May be the next time I upgrade, huh...
