man - reading what a blast

an 8 hour booze fueled free hug session and before the music even begun we knew 90% of the orange camp, pulled 6 birds and had some fine blonde flap her tits out for us - nice start as we meant to go on

friday rocked - to be fair, most of the bands were well decent, reel big fish were the first band i was suprised at - they were much better than id ever have thought and a ska version of enter sandman(trumpets and all) was sure to get the party goin - and it didnt end till 7am, darkness yet again did an over the top exit, with a few hundreds quids worth of fireworks, then the darkness logo in flames either side of the stage- class

saturday the bands were poor (imo anyways) but we still made a decent day out of it, cant remember too much tho to be fair cos 8 ppl hotboxing a 1 man tent for a good 4 hours kinda wastes u out

then came sunday, legenday by all accounts thrice kicked the day off in style. bit later and rasmus came on...heh we started a few 'ya crap' chants, then ppl started with the mud bombs and bottles, to be fair im suprised they stayed on for the full 3 minutes they were on - and they did nearly finish their first song.

on come placebo - i missed em, too busy watching 3 random birds play naked mud wrestling in the middle of the field and they did get a much better audience, heh

then there was our good man 50 cent, or fiddy pence - he had much more balls than the rasmus they were actually enjoying the abuse, even tho his white t shirt ended up yellow and we were chanting 'Curtis' his sad real name, and once he ripped off his shirt I gave him a big roar of "OMG hes got man boobs !!!"

all in all class - green day finished with some cool style, did loads of covers, a bit of queen - lovely jubbly

ive not yet been to sleep yet and i was drinking till 8 so im still kinda wasted - what readings all about tho, so sorry if this all sounds well stupid

    rock on

i've recovered enough to type now, so i'll give my 2p bout reading. overall, i had a wicked time. shame about the mud, but we were in Brown camp K (3rd yr in a row, exact same space!) where the mud was less savage.
Green Day were amazing, i absolutely loved them, but i was extremely annoyed about 50 Cent being bottled off. i wanted to see him, and the songs he did were really good. puttin him on before Green Day was a bad idea anyways, he should have got Sat nite headline instead.
I saw Morrisey and suprised myself by enjoyed it loads, Flogging Molly kicked ass, Roots Manuva was the nuts, Jurrasic 5 ruled, The Roots ruled, Thrice were average, The Offspring were OK, and i really cant remember much else, haha. Allister were poo tho, as were Taking Back Sunday with their dirty emo ways
sunday nite went off proper, with orange camp invading brown camp and me being cheered on to chug a mini-keg of stella. i then chatted up some french bird, in french, which was wierd considering how drunk i was. much madness, male nudity and other bad, bad, things went on later that nite too, with us nearly taking the lights down again (managed it last yr) and burning an unhealthy amount of stuff. my mate woke up with a huge fresh turd in the porch of his tent and no idea how it got there, which was pure comedy. plus i missed the Rasmus' singer's head by about 1/2" with a big ball of mud. close, but no cigar
the only downside was that 5 of my mates got busted by the police on saturday afternoon, taking about 1.5oz of them, which was quite cruel.
    peace

p.s. mini-skirt, wellies and a splash of mud - how bloomin good was that!? jeeezus, almost makes me wish for mud next year so i can treat my eyes again

if war is the answer, then we are asking the wrong question

I was in Orange and I have to say it had the least mud of all the areas. Some of brown was ok but the walkways were mad.

glad you had a good time mate. was it your first Reading?
our walkways weren't too bad i spose, just a bit muddy. green camp (i think?) had the worst paths, with 3ft deep sloppy mud puddles in some places.

i think the word i'm searching for is....FOOOOOL!! the only way to do a festival properly is - camping in the mud, getting drunk, stoned and filthy and joining in with the mayhem on the night. staying in a hotel takes the fun out of it all. how do you get to experience the sunday night anarchy? showers are for wimps

if you saw a guy in a yellow site vest with police insignia drawn on it and 'The Filth' on the back necking a keg of stella in orange camp on sunday, that was me! and i think i may have hugged you... :S we didnt have the mud too bad in our part of brown, the other side of the hedge had it proper bad tho.
we were the guys by the toilets in orange camp yelling how brown camp would kick your ass if you invaded us too
not too long till next year's reading now!

dude ! if you hugged me legend, i counted over 900 hugs that i give out on the first night alone, we were legends !

reading is the only place you can drink 28 cans of stella, blag 12 free shots of aftershocks - down them too get a chocolate death drink made for you (cocoa powder, absinthe, vodka, tequila and carlsberg) neck it in from 11am till 6am, a good 19 hours drinking and still be sober, then find some bloke who looks like the offpsring lead singer, whos best mate looks damn like justin hawkins, at 6am, while talking about turkisk turkey slippers

reading 2005 tickets ordered already - bring it on !
