avi codec for wmp9

It's hard to say what AVI codec you need for WMP9 as supposedly there are loads of slightly different types available.

You see AVI is a codec that was developed by microsoft and then abandoned in favor of WMV, but a lot of other people have developed different variations of it.

A good program i have found is called sherlock 'The codec detective' it checks the ones running on your pc and what ones are missing you could run this and then do a search on google for the missing codecs.

Another thing you could do is install a pack containing a load of codecs, the one i use is k-lite mega codecs.
