    Video editing

    Hey everyone,

Just spent a mad week in barcelona with the college, and i got some great videos with my digital camera. Now the teacher wants me to produce a video of the week all nicely edited together along with subtitles saying where the video was taken on some of the vids.

Does anyone know what softwaare can do this. The vids are in .MOV format.

    Cheers all

You may have to convert the video for these programs.. Not too sure, I have been used to working with mpegs..

So for an easy to use software package which will enable you to get good results with very little knowledge/effort involved then I recommend:

    *Sonic MyDVD 5

If you want more tools/features, which allow more manual control over what happens, splitting, slicing, effects, transistion etc, but this program needs some time spent learning the tools and getting to grips with it (shouldn't take tool long).. Then I would recommend..

    *Pinnacle Studio 9

They both have great features, but Studio 9 gives you alot more control, but most is manual.. Where as the top one has lots of automatic features which produce a nice effect but not soo editable..(They are also both not too overly priced.. And are reasonably cheap.. )

    Hope this helps

Just found myself a MOV to Mpeg converter. The video converts fine, but the sound is less than favourable. Heres 2 videos, the first is the MOV and the second is the Mpeg. I'm on the left in the hat, and Adam is harrassing me with the gimp mask

Does anyone know of a good MOV to Mpeg converter?

I'm sure the college will have an iMac somewhere - Go try iMovie, should be on by default and it roxors the soxors off most consumer vid apps.
