Your recording method

Well I've now officially become thoroughly sick and tired of using video tapes.

I just ordered me a Humax PVR8000T Freeview Adaptor and HDD recorder to replace my VCR (and other Pace freeview box; Pace DTR210T, anyone want it?), so it ought to be interesting and useful!

What does everyone else here use for TV recording purposes? Just out of interest really

I've got a HD/DVD recorder (without freeview!)
Never record to DVDs, though, HD recording rocks!

I guess the DVD would be good for archiving, I just haven't felt the need.

VCR and DVD Recorder.

Really tempted to get a HDD recorder though. Want the Pause LiveTV function.

Still using VCR but looking to get a new TV with DVD Recorder in the summer. Not to fussed about HDD although I might look into it to see the prices.

I use Sky+, simply the best invention ever! I love the sky menus and planers and the simplicity of the whole thing. Now what would really kick ass would be a HD Sky+ system! I'm sure they are designing it so I cant wait for it.

DVD recorder - but so obviously should have got better than the cheapish one we got in the end, the quality of DVD playback is really bad. Recording quality is near perfect if you watch it on another DVD player though, can't tell the difference between that and TV.

I want to get a Digital TV decoder card for my PC and use that as a PVR. They're expensive though. Why is it that you can get a whole freeview box for £30 but it costs £50 just for a PCI card?

I still use a VCR, as Ludd is my master. However, I am very interested in one of these.

anyone got any idea when ntl are going to bring out a sky+ esque system? i'd buy it in a second.. i know you cna get tivo but its not as integrated as sky+..

The Humax looks quite good...

... I use a PVR-150 myself (digital signal is poor - so Analogue only for me) in my MPC system.

I was going to get one of those panasonic diga things in japan a couple of years ago but didnt know if it would work. HDD with DVD recorder would be great I would prefer that over a bastardised pc.

VCR, I only ever tape stuff like top gear etc. if im gonna be out when its on so I don't need a hdd/dvd recorder for that tbh.

Still use VHS occasionally, never really that much on worth recording.
