    Soundtrack To Your Life

Challenge is this, produce a soundtrack to your life. All those bits of music that have in some way influenced you, inspire memories, be they good or bad, or stuff you just really dig.

12 Tracks max (trust me, limiting it to 12 is harder than it sounds). Explanations of why would be cool.

    Mine?

    Ok, here it is

1)Pink Floyd - Interstellar Overdrive - Reminds me of good times with good friends at school & my good friend Bill.

2)Death Angel - The Ultraviolence - Sheer Brilliance, like rock guitar? you gotta love this!

3)Dr Feelgood - Milk & Alcohol - Just a fantastic riff, the first single I purchased.

4)Discharge - Just like an enormous door (slamming in the depths of hell) - They had something to say in those days.

5)S.O.D. - Seargent D - Changed my musical direction forever, original Hardcore!

6)Suicidal - Tendencies - Institutionalised - Fave live band of all time

    7)Mozart - Serenade No. 13 - Genius

8)Underworld - Born Slippy - Reminds me when I met my wife & many good times sharing a house with nurses.

    9)Prodigy - Jericho - Bangin Choon!

10)Johnny Cash - Hurt - Makes me want to cry, a song for sad days.

    11)William Orbit - Barber's Addagio for strings - Classic

12)The Jam - Town Called Malice - Too many Jam tracks to choose from. Makes me want to dance.

First stab at it, so subject to change

Its ridiculously hard, theres a few in here with specific events tied to them and others that I think would need to be in the soundtrack if my life was ever made into a movie.

Guns n Roses - Welcome To The Jungle

Metallica - Fade To Black, many a depressing moment has been followed by this song, plus it reminds me of one of possibly the most beautiful moments ever at a gig, just as the intro kicked in at download last year it started to rain, me sunburnt to a crisp just leant back on the bank and soaked it up.

Pantera - Walk, First and last time I ever got to see dimebag live this was the last song damageplan played.

Jimi Hendrix - Purple Haze, This made me pick up a guitar.

Prodigy - Smack My Bitch Up, So many good memories from clubs surrounded by mates dancing like drunken idiots to this, good times.

Slayer - Payback, First time I saw slayer live I went in the pit for payback and it was insane

Killswitch Engage - My Last Serenade

    Metallica - Seek And Destroy

Tenacious D - Double Team, Huge sing along in the pub with about twenty of us on my mates birthday, possibly the greatest pub singalong ever

    AC/DC - Thunder Struck

Metallica - Master Of Puppets, The album that got me into metal.

Guns n roses - Sweet child of mine, Getting up on stage and jamming to this

There is no number 12 because there's bound to be another song I'll need to add later in life.

    Here goes.....

    1. Creep (Radiohead) - I had to pick one track by my favourite band and this was the first track of theirs that I heard and suddenly thought "they sound good I'll have to get the album". Could have picked loads of others, but without this one I may not have heard them.

    2. F***ing Hostile (Pantera) - I was lucky to get out alive from the pit when they played this the last time I saw them live (many years ago). The whole place erupted (think it was Rock City) they were even going for it at the bar

    3. Binary Finary 1999 (Positiva remix) - Went to one of the big Gatecrasher nights in MK (took over ground floor of shopping centre ) and was on raised platform with 3 or 4 mates plus 20 other people in a line. We got everyone doing all the "old skool" moves - stacking the shelves etc. It ended up on one of their promo videos

    4. Penicillin (Martin Grech) - Love watching this guy live and accoustic, plus it always brings a smile to my face as I always go to watch him with my good friends Zakk & Sair

    5. Siege of Power (Naplam Death) - one of their best tracks but sticks in the mind just for the mass stagedive at Birmingham on the Grindcrusher tour. 15-20 of us leaping off the stage in unison

    6. Toccata & Fugue in D minor - the opening just sends tingles up my spine, plus it plays at the start of one of the greatest movies of all time "Rollerball"

    7. - 10. Thinking about it
If it ain't broke, fetch a bigger hammer
