    Hexus Photo Challenge "industry"

Here are the submissions, well done everyone. Voting ends Friday evening (October 7), new one to be picked once it's all done, good luck!

p.s. image authors kept anonymous until the final result, where upon they will be revealed.

[Bob C adds - I've dived in and edited the formatting cos pic 1 appears no longer to be on line, and that made the numbering of the other pics wrong]

Number 4 isn't working! I want to vote, but number four might be fantastic!

LOL Number 9 is so close to what I orginally tried to do with a chainsaw and tree

Was torn between 9, 4 and 3 but voted for 3, really like the way it captures the decline of the agricultural industry in the UK (Dont know if that was the intention? ) 4 says to me "Look what we are doing to our coastline" and 9 Reminds me of work LOL.....Great pics all

I liked 3, but didn't seem quite right, think the tractor needed to be either much brighter or far more faded. I really liked the content of 7, but there's something 'fuzzy' about it to me (not sure that I mean out of focus, just something slightly, gah, can't think of the right word for now)

Voted for 4, it's a good strong image, with a good black and a good white, it's moody, it's showing decay, it's a great image.

I'm also a sucker for black and white photo's anyway

Hehe Storm the point was not to tweak the images so the pictures had to be as they were taken Although I agree with the black and white, always loved black and white images, think it comes from all the graphic novels I read and I always sketch/draw in black and white and inks.

I plumped for Number Three in the end... not sure why, it just seemed the best!

Although I cannont take responsibility for this one I believe you can take mono pictures in many cameras now. I can with mine...but as I said, this ain't my pic. who ever's it is I trust the aouthor to have taken it on a b&w setting...

still, the bar has been raised YET AGAIN! this round. getting hard to come up with something inventive to proove my worth round here! hehe! 'tis a great honour to see so many of you getting better all the time.

No.1 & 4 are excellent. No.1 would make a good stock photo. But 4 had to get my vote in the end.
