Unhappy Most Disturbing Movie Youv'e Seen

Similar thread to the one below but (and it's a big butt)

What is the most disturbing movie you have seen, or in better words one that had had a profound effect on you including nightmares or flashbacks concerning it.

I'm not sure why but Event Horizon disturbed me alot, I felt the director had gone off on a tangent and what we were seeing was a reflection of his drug induced nightmare in all it's gory glory.
Like some sort of fubar'd mental mind game.

It really did disturb me for a long time after but I'm not sure if that say's alot more about me than it does about the director lol.

I have The Ring to watch next and the g/f won't watch it with me so that could be my next disturbing moment

it scared the b-jesus outta me

Event Horizon was creepy. . . very scary, and I used to be really scared of films like that. But there's a lot to happen before anything like Event Horizon can happen - so Im not scared!

For disturbance, I think the Japanese fkuc my mind pretty badly. It all seems like it can happen, may happen, or will happen.

Stuff like Battle Royale - so very wrong, it's entertaining to watch, but when you see your mates next to you and think of that situation, Im like "no way." It just messes with your head.

Then it gets worse, The Ring (original) is just paranormal (which I have beliefs in) freaky rubbishrubbishrubbishrubbish that makes me glad I dumped the usage of VCRs before DVD came out! Im not even going to watch the 2nd or 3rd one. Ever. I still see that head of hair walking around and get freaked by it!

And "Audition", one of Oliver Stones favourite movies (go figure), has made me very weary of pretty and quiet girls.

saving private ryan - the first true to life WW2 film in ages, ok very american but very disturbing, band of brothers is very close (but that aint a film) to this but ryan was first...

all the parts where the bodies get shot up, not like "bridge to far" (my fav) where you see them just slump to the ground, it's very realistic and very disturbing.

Erm.... probably Hannibal because of the "eating his brains" scene and a few of the other bits.

The Cihldren Under The Stairs.... terrible terrible film. Although it was great in the fact that it is the only film that has ever been able to scare me at least a little.

Involved a guy running around with a shotgun in a pvc gimp outfit, whilst hunting down a little kid that got into his house. The husband and wife had two giant rottweilers, kept hundreds of children locked under the stairs in cages, and planned on eating the boy.

Looking back, it was funny as... but when you're pre-teen who isn't supposed to be up at 1am, it's frigging scary

can't really say any film has disturbed me more than thinking about it for 10mins. Screamers did, but i watched it when i was like 8, seen it since and nothing.

    It's only a film.....

    Seen it. Magic

Not a good thread for me, I haven't been scared/disturbed/shocked by a movie for a really long time...
Heck, I am always on a look out for even more controversial movies..

    Okay looking back, I think Angel Heart had some effect on me when I watched it when I was.. 14? Dunno, I seem to remember the heart beat sound used throughout the movie to get my adrenaline going.. And there was something creepy about some of the nuns as well. I need to watch it again sometime to know what its about ^^;

Anyone seen Irreversible? Its not scary in the horror sense, but you *might* find it shocking (there are two pretty strong scenes in the movie).
