My parents have just put in a home cinema setup using a Samsung 32" LCD and full 5.1 speaker configuration (text book placement) and I want to get them a couple of DVDs for Christmas that will bring out the best in it.
So question is, to those with a good home cinema setup, what DVDs have blown you away, sound and picture wise ?

These are all "Super Bit" titles which means they don't have extras, but the video and audio datarates are maxed out to get the best picture etc from the disk. Only £7.99 too
Saving Private Ryan. The opening beach landing on a good home cinema will blow them away, even if they have already seen it. It's just amazing. The whole film is fairly so so, but the beach landing is probably one of the best directed action scenes in movie history, and sounds amazing on a good 5.1 setup.

first off get a config disc to set your equipment up right - you can hire one frmo blockbusters - about £3 - and get all your kit that cost hundreds just so. look for 'digital video essentials'
for screen stuff, look for cgi films - for sound, the newer star wars films are very good.
