A couple of sunset pics - with no sunset

Dug out the OS map and wandered to the second highest point I could find locally today, specifically with nabbing the sunset in mind.

I didn't actually get anything very decent from the sunset, but I did abuse the nice light and get these, which I quite like :

    Rubbish!
My D70 took that picture for me.

Not only did it take it for me, but it also made me a cup of coffe, did all the ironing, walked the dog, fed the cats & washed the car. And all in the time of a 1/400 second exposure, whilst on the top of a hill!

    Great bit of kit.

    tis true

but a good camera gives you a few more options, a basic DP&S can produce some great shot as long as your good enough

great shots by the way, been meaning to take something similar to the silhouette tree one myself

I did notice when we were out shooting in the cold Cardiff night that you didn't seem to have any hot beverages etc...

Truth be told though, the ironing does kind of get on my nerves - very noisy!
